When We Are Closed
The SAUCS, based at Craigavon Area Hospital, is the base where all the doctors in this area work shifts to provide complete medical care round the clock. We work here in the evenings, weekds, bank holidays and also on Wednesday afternoons.
The out of hours is for emergency or urgent problems only and should not be used if the problem could readily wait until the surgery re-opens.
If you have a truly urgent problem then please contact the duty doctor at the SAUCS by calling 028 38399201 in order to discuss the problem with him/her. The doctor will take details of the problem from you and decide if the patient really needs to be seen. If the patient does need attention he/she will normally be requested to attend the Moylinn Medical Centre although occasionally a home visit may be deemed necessary.
Please help the doctors on duty at nights and weekends by not requesting a visit unless it is absolutely necessary.
Please use this service for urgent problems only.
NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
